Blankets and bonnets

So precious!! She was looking up at her daddy!

What a smile!

Alyssa's Oma Maggie crocheted her this blanket and bonnet. Oma Maggie said she had some help from her mother to complete it. I love it, it is soo beautiful and warm.

11 Months...and so grown up!

Wondering what all the green stuff is??
Heading over to help Daddy weed the flower beds.

When the weather is nice, we take Alyssa outside to play in the yard. She loves to be outside ( unlike her mommy..ha ha).

Chilling..watching Yo Gabba Gabba!

Well...Alyssa is now 11 months old. There have been so many changes with her, I am constantly amazed. She is getting to be a brave little girl...she has started to take steps. She has now on two different occasions taken two steps with out assistance. Both times, she was walking towards me. She is also starting to dance..it is so cute to see her playing. She has a table that plays music, and when it starts, she sways side to side.

She is also starting to give kisses, and she can wave bye bye! We don't have an official weight on her, but I think it's close to 23 lbs now.

In just 4 weeks, my little baby will be a year old. Where has the time gone??

Miscellaneous Pics...

Another classic tongue shot!!
She tried crawling into the laundry basket..so we put her in it and let her play.

Destiny & Alyssa...two beautiful girls!

Uncle John holding Alyssa!

Just a few various pics from the past few months.

Alyssa is almost 11 months old now. She weighs almost 23 lbs and has 5 teeth!! There are four on the top and one on the bottom...I can't get her to smile for the pictures to show them off. She is cruising on the furniture, and starting to free stand. She stood for 10 seconds all by herself. Her independence is really showing through, and she is quickly becoming a sassy little girl. She gets mad when she can't get a toy to go the right way, or if we close a door before she can get into the room. She loves being chased around the room too! She'll start crawling away laughing, then stop and look to see if you'll follow her. She is also clicking her tongue now..and smacking when she eats. She loves to be outside too! Alyssa is also starting to "love" and hug her toys.

Future Best Friends!!

Best friends in the making.

This was the best shot we got....

Maddy chillin'!
Maddy's cheesy grin!

Such a cutie!

The weekend after Christmas Leslie, Mark, and Madeline came for a visit. Alyssa and Maddy had to exchange gifts. It was really sweet to watch them opening the gift, but I totally forgot to get the camera out for it. I know..shocking right! Anyways, the girls had fun and got some cute gifts. They also had some issues with sharing...neither one wanted to share the toys. Maddy got a chair just like Alyssa's for Christmas too, and she wanted to sit in it. In fact...they both tried to sit in it at the same time...one shoving the other out. We did manage to get them to both sit in it for a picture.

First Christmas Celebrations!

Alyssa had a wonderful first Christmas. She got lots of toys and clothes, but would have been happy with just paper. She just wanted to eat the paper. It was crazy and hectic, but wonderful too. We spent Christmas Eve with my parents and family, the Christmas morning was just the three of us. Christmas afternoon we went to Huntsville to see Mark's family. I did manage to get one shot of Mark, Alyssa, and I ( I was trying out my new remote for my camera).

Our first Christmas picture as a family.

Decorating for Christmas

Alyssa's adopted grandma, Maggie, gave her this ornament for Christmas. It has her name on it and is very pretty. She had to have some help, but she hung it on the tree. It has a special place on our tree!! THank you Maggie!!!
