Little Ladybug....

We decided to take Alyssa to the Maddy's school fall festival on Friday night. We had a great time...Alyssa got to play some games, see friends, and got lots of candy. She got in some good practice for Halloween. She got to be a ladybug this year...I wanted to get a punk rocker costume for her, but it was too big. Maybe next year. She ran around grabbing candy out of the boxes and playing the games.

She knew right where to put the pumpkin's nose.

What are all these punkin's for?

Wow...Mom actually got in a picture...lol!

She pulled about five ghosts off the tree....ha ha, we had to pull her away from it..

fishing for spiders..

She was looking for a shiny coin.

Alyssa, Maddy, and Austin in the background.

Bean bag toss...or more like bean bag push...ha ha! Alyssa decided to put the bag through the hole rather than toss it.

bugs were the theme of the night....Maddy loves to cheese it up for the camera.

Alyssa's first haircut...

We finally had to breakdown and get Alyssa's hair cut. I didn't really want any of the length cut off, but it was starting to get into her eyes and all. So...we had it trimmed up a little and her bangs cut. She looks sooo grown up now! She did a lot better than I thought she would...didn't even really cry.

Before...

She got to pick out the chair....it was a red fire truck.

The chair was a little to high for Miss Lucy to cut her hair...

Starting to get a little upset...

She was watching a Max & Ruby dvd...it was a lifesaver.

What a cute smile....how precious is that?

This is her new pouty face...she's got the bottom lip working!

After...what a relief!!

Alyssa's new playground..

Alyssa has a new toy in our backyard...a big playground with a slide and swings. She is loving it, and can climb the ladder all by herself. The only hard part is getting her to go back inside..ha ha!!

Before the playground was built!! She had fun on it then too..

Helping Daddy do a little yard work...can you see her tongue sticking out? She was working hard..lol

She's getting a haircut soon!! She looks so shaggy here.

The playground!!

Going up the ladder!

Ready to go down the slide...

Susan G. Komen Walk and Dewberry Farms....

Well...I'm finally getting caught up on the blog. I've been way behind here. The first Saturday in October, we met up with the Cravy family and headed out for the Susan G. Komen Family walk for Breast Cancer support. We walked in honor of Leslie's Mom...who lost her battle with breast cancer a few years ago. We dolled the girls up in pink and got to walking.
After the walk, we headed out to Dewberry Farms in Brookshire. It's a really fun place for the kids. There are goats to feed and a barn with horses, rabbits, and chicks you can pet. There are also pig races, a chicken puppet show, and lots of playgrounds and other activities to do. Alyssa loved the slides and the corn crib. They had a little house that was full of corn kernels...kinda like a ball pit. She got in there and spent almost 30 minutes trying to run and jump in the corn. Then we headed to the back of the farm to see the flowers and pumpkins. It's a great place, and we'll definitely be going back! She had soo much fun running around the place and played great on all the playgrounds.
Come on Daddy!! I'm ready to play...
The girls and their Daddies.
There was a huge field of flowers to walk through...

Smelling the flowers... (fowers as Alyssa says)

Aren't the matching shirts cute!!

The corn crib....it was really hard to walk in...

Taking a break...she loves to lay on her belly now.

Trying to jump!

The top of the slide...I didn't' get one of her coming down cause she was flying down the slide.

Alyssa kept trying to get in the water with the ducks...

The baby chicks were so fluffy!!

Feeding the goats...

The only other shot of Alyssa and Maddy together.

I'm almost two pumpkins tall!!

Just my size!!

Just a little to big for me!

Our family after the walk...

Here's a rock, Mom!!

The girls and the Moms.

Alyssa and Maddy all dolled up and ready for the walk.
