We had a very busy Easter weekend this year. For the first time in a few years, Easter fell after tax season ended, so I was able to take off on Good Friday. Alyssa and I went to a friend's house to dye eggs and swim. She had a blast dropping the eggs in the dye and then putting on stickers. She also got to go swimming in their pool (now that's all I hear about).
Kyle, Kadyn, Landon, Alyssa, and Maddy all decorating their eggs.
She was so proud of her eggs...
Look I'm swimming!!
On Saturday, I took her up to the First Baptist Easter Egg hunt at the elementary school. It was her first real hunt other than the ones at school they did. There were tons of eggs, though they weren't hard to find. There was also a bouncy house, pictures with the Easter bunny, face painting, and cotton candy. She played on the playground and wore herself out.
See her bunny!
She was up on the top rung of the ladder..."I'm up high, Mommy!!"
For Easter, we went over to my aunt's house. She was a little cranky when we got there and didn't want to pose for pictures. We had about 15 people there, five of which were the kiddos. So after eating lunch, we hid eggs for them to find. Alyssa needs a little more practice to catch up with Clara and the other boys, they had her overrun...but she still got quite a few eggs. The only problem is that she is the only child I know that doesn't like chocolate, and most of the candy was chocolate. She still had fun hunting the eggs, and now wants to hide them at home for mommy and daddy to find.
Our happy little family.
She's not above bribery to get what she wants...lol She had asked Granddaddy for money, and then he asked for a kiss first. She got the money....ha ha!
