Susan G. Komen Walk and Dewberry Farms....

Well...I'm finally getting caught up on the blog. I've been way behind here. The first Saturday in October, we met up with the Cravy family and headed out for the Susan G. Komen Family walk for Breast Cancer support. We walked in honor of Leslie's Mom...who lost her battle with breast cancer a few years ago. We dolled the girls up in pink and got to walking.
After the walk, we headed out to Dewberry Farms in Brookshire. It's a really fun place for the kids. There are goats to feed and a barn with horses, rabbits, and chicks you can pet. There are also pig races, a chicken puppet show, and lots of playgrounds and other activities to do. Alyssa loved the slides and the corn crib. They had a little house that was full of corn kernels...kinda like a ball pit. She got in there and spent almost 30 minutes trying to run and jump in the corn. Then we headed to the back of the farm to see the flowers and pumpkins. It's a great place, and we'll definitely be going back! She had soo much fun running around the place and played great on all the playgrounds.
Come on Daddy!! I'm ready to play...
The girls and their Daddies.
There was a huge field of flowers to walk through...

Smelling the flowers... (fowers as Alyssa says)

Aren't the matching shirts cute!!

The corn crib....it was really hard to walk in...

Taking a break...she loves to lay on her belly now.

Trying to jump!

The top of the slide...I didn't' get one of her coming down cause she was flying down the slide.

Alyssa kept trying to get in the water with the ducks...

The baby chicks were so fluffy!!

Feeding the goats...

The only other shot of Alyssa and Maddy together.

I'm almost two pumpkins tall!!

Just my size!!

Just a little to big for me!

Our family after the walk...

Here's a rock, Mom!!

The girls and the Moms.

Alyssa and Maddy all dolled up and ready for the walk.

Hey, great photos! You should enter some in our photo contest. I appreciate your kind comments about the farm. I always like to know that families had a good time. Hope you make it a family tradition.
