Happy Easter!!
We had a very busy Easter weekend this year. For the first time in a few years, Easter fell after tax season ended, so I was able to take off on Good Friday. Alyssa and I went to a friend's house to dye eggs and swim. She had a blast dropping the eggs in the dye and then putting on stickers. She also got to go swimming in their pool (now that's all I hear about).
See her bunny!

My baby girl is 3!!!
I can't believe that it's been over 3 years now since Alyssa became part of our lives. She has definitely made a change in all of us, and she is the boss of our little family. She is so smart, and learning new things every day. She is constantly talking, moving, and loves to be outside. That has not changed at all with her. The other day she was telling us about having to "download" a game on her Nana's Ipad (big phone as she calls it). There have been so many changes with her in the past year, but she is now 37" tall and weighs right at 33 lbs. She is officially in her big girl room and big girl bed. She loves exploring and showing us that she can do things by herself now. She wants to climb up her slide and help with dinner and cleaning. Too bad when she can actually help, she won't want to anymore...ha ha! I need to video her saying that she wants to help for future use.
Here's some recent pics of her...

Happy Halloween!!
This was the first year that Alyssa went Trick or Treating. She wanted to be a princess for Halloween, and luckily we had a princess dress complete with crown and shoes. She didn't want to wear the crown though. We decided to walk around our neighborhood this year and experience the fun. It only took a few houses before Alyssa figured out what to do. She wanted to run up to every house and ring the doorbell, and loved that they would give her candy. She would reach into the bowls and grab it by the fistful..ha ha! There's only one problem, my child doesn't like chocolate!! How can that be?? It's a good thing there was lots of other candy to be had. She was having so much fun, she didn't want to go back home. One of the houses also gave her a flameless candle that was in one of their jack-o-lanterns. She wanted us to leave it on in her room when she went to bed. Anways, here's some pics from last night.
